GUIDELINES for travelling to our wedding venue

From Thursday 3rd of September until Sunday 6th of September, we welcome you at our wedding venue in the Bodrum region.

Flights

We kindly ask you to arrange your own flights to Milas–Bodrum Airport, ideally arriving before 3pm on Thursday. Please also arrange your return flight to Belgium on Sunday 6th of September 2026.

We recommend booking your travel well in advance.

Milas–Bodrum Airport is approximately a 50-minute drive from the wedding venue. Several airlines offer flights from Brussels Airport to Bodrum, including Corendon and Turkish Airlines.

On Thursday, most flights include a layover. Earlier in the week, there is also a direct flight option from Brussels to Bodrum.

To make sure your travel goes as smooth as possible, we’d like to offer you an extra overnight stay in Bodrum or Istanbul on Wednesday, the 2nd of September 2026. If you would like us to book you an extra night at our expense, please let us know via the RSVP form. Our travel agent will contact you later on about the reservation.

Some airlines offer the possibility to book Fast Track, lounge access or VIP services during your reservation. This can provide additional comfort during a potential layover, for example at Istanbul Airport.

Please note these flights are subject to change. Please check the carrier’s websites for the correct flight information. Our travel agent recommends booking a travel- and cancellation insurance when booking a flight ticket.

All facilities will be provided.

Tips & tricks

As we’ll be celebrating outside of Europe, we recommend preparing a few practical things in advance to make your trip as smooth as possible.

Mobile data

Consider arranging a local SIM card at the airport, using an eSIM, or activating a travel or day pass with your telecom provider before departure.

Payments

We recommend bringing a credit card, because of the international costs or if you plan to rent a car.

Cash

While cards are widely accepted in hotels and restaurants, cash (Turkish Lira) can still be useful for small shops, taxis, markets or tips. Euros are most of the time accepted, but not everywhere.

Shopping

Planning to explore local markets or boutiques? You might want to leave a bit of extra room in your suitcase.

Travel documents

Please consult the official website of the Flemish Government for the most up-to-date information regarding the passport and visa requirements.
